- Limited partner (LP)
An investor who commits capital to a venture or other private fund but does not manage it. Liability is generally limited to committed capital.
- Emerging manager
A general partner raising one of their first institutional funds — commonly Fund I, II, or III. Definitions vary by LP.
- Venture capital
Equity investing in private, high-growth-potential companies, typically structured through closed-end funds with a long investment and harvest period.
